Chapters 21-24; Tyler Durden the one and only !

So life goes on and he continues working and the Tyler's monkeys are burning their fingerprints away with the lye they use to make the soap. And they are all shaving their heads for some reason. The narrator is kind of lost because of his insomnia and he travels while he is at work for his company to find a fight club or Tyler in the cities he travels to. Everyone calls him sir, when he goes into bars and pubs and he doesn't realize why. His insomnia enables him to sleep while he really is not sleeping or so he thinks. A strange bartender knows him in Seattle and he does not know how until the guy tells him that his name is Tyler Durden. DUM DUM DUM! (evil laugh). Everything that Tyler has does the lye kiss that burned his hand Project Mayhem and Fight Club all the illegal things it was all the narrator who did it. Tyler is his other personality. This is all psychological and really pertains to may essential question because my question has to do with what in the human psyche or brain triggers peoples perception of themselves or others? He creates this other personality to get away from the pain of his terrible job or his fatherless life and get away from the insomnia and the girlfriend -less life that he lives. I feel terrible for him, this definitely hits my pathos. :} Now Tyler finds out/ aka he realizes that he has talked about Tyler behind Tyler's back and now Tyler has to disappear because he was not supposed to do this. The reason for the insomnia problem is they when he thinks that he falls asleep, he does, but his other personality Tyler wakes up and he does his jobs and runs around and this is why he is alway tired. He was disassociative personality disorder. I learned about this in psychology last semester with Mrs. Mastromauro. People create them to deal with pain that they suffer from inside and outside. It is like the movive Sybil. If you have never seen it you should deff. rent it. When he tells Marla about this problem she thinks it is cool and she has no real responsiveness to it because she does not believe him. Finally he tries as himself to stop the fight club: the original one that he started and the men look at him and kick him out even though he tries to tell them that he is Tyler Durden.
